This Gender Brief presents findings from a rapid needs assessment on the gendered impacts of conflict, displacement, and multi-layered crises on Syrian refugee and Lebanese women and girls in Baalbek-Hermel. It highlights key challenges across four areas: protection risks, access to services, economic security, and social stability. Grounded in women’s lived experiences, the brief also underscores the critical role of women peacebuilders in supporting humanitarian response and social cohesion, and offers actionable recommendations for more gender-responsive and conflict-sensitive interventions.
