UN Women has released its second Flash Update on the escalation of hostilities in Lebanon, covering the period between 7 March and 10 April 2026. The update highlights the scale and reach of UN Women’s gender-responsive humanitarian response, which has supported over 30,800 crisis-affected individuals across the country, including 6,226 direct beneficiaries, 99 per cent of whom are women, and more than 24,650 people reached indirectly.

Notably, 30 per cent of those reached were outside collective shelters, reflecting targeted efforts to address critical gaps among underserved and hard-to-reach populations. The update also outlines key protection concerns, including increased risks of gender-based violence, barriers to essential services, and rising unpaid care burdens, while presenting UN Women’s priority interventions across protection, livelihoods, cash assistance, and gender analysis.
