Gender and Social Inclusion Analysis of the National Poverty Targeting Programme in Lebanon
The National Poverty Targeting Programme (NPTP) is the largest regular poverty-targeted social safety net cash assistance programme in Lebanon for the poorest and most marginalized Lebanese families.
A gender analysis of the NPTP was undertaken by the Ministry of Social Affairs (MOSA), the World Food Programme (WFP), and UN Women between April and June 2022.
The objective of this analysis was to examine how the NPTP has impacted the lives of women, girls and other marginalized people of concern and how the programme can improve its processes to ensure this assistance is safe and accessible to women and girls.
