UN Women Community Mediation Networks in South Lebanon

Faten, a Lebanese university teacher and Amal, a Palestinian refugee, are members of an UN-Women hosted community mediation network in South Lebanon, an activity organized in collaboration with the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Since May 2019, with the support of the Rebecca Dykes Foundation, and in partnership with the Centre for Professional Mediation at the University of Saint Joseph (CPM-USJ), UN Women has trained more than 100 women on conflict management and prevention. Today these women are addressing and managing tensions and conflicts within their communities.
